After School Club (Wrap Around Care)


We are keen to support working parents and offer children a variety of fun activities at our OFSTED registered Breakfast Club, After School Club and Holiday Club.



Breakfast Club is open from 7.45am until 8.45am.  A wide variety of breakfast is available, with drinks and fruit included. Children can join in the morning activities as well. The walking bus leaves at 8.30am to take children to Holmwood School.



Children attending the After School Club are provided with a daily snack including juice, water and fruit. We have daily activities for the children including their own suggestions and outside play. The play workers are there to encourage the children to choose their own activities and their free play and support them within the play environment. The play workers are constantly undertaking new training in order to provide the best service for your children and all staff are appropriately CRB checked.


A ‘walking bus’ service is operated from Ashbrook School to collect children from Holmwood School at 3.10pm.


  • Entry to the Club House is via the pedestrian gate using the buzzer system. You will then be able to collect your child from the cabin
  • If, in an emergency you need to appoint someone to collect your child other than those named on your registration form you must contact us with their details and password
  • If your child has medication in school, Inhalers,Epipens etc, please arrange for the After School Club to have one for our medical box for emergency use. You will also need to complete a medicine permission form



Our Holiday Club is always popular and we aim to offer a range of fun activities to keep your child busy and entertained during the holidays. We now have a detailed events planner listing all our daily activities. Please book early to avoid disappointment. Our Holiday Club is open to older and younger siblings from 4 years old and we take children from other schools and surrounding areas.


Breakfast will be available to all children arriving between 8.00–8.45am. You will need to supply your child with a packed lunch and water bottle, although snacks and drinks will be provided.



Please ensure you complete a registration form for your child and keep us informed of any changes to your contact details. This will enable us to contact you immediately in case of emergency.


At the start of each half term parents will need to have completed a booking form detailing all sessions required for that period. This will help us to plan staffing, snack and activities in advance. All forms are available from the After School Club and the School office.


If you are unable to book in advance due to shift patterns and you require your child to attend we will need to know which sessions you require on the Monday of each week and receive payment that day.

From September 2019

A £1.00 additional fee will be introduced for same day bookings. All same day bookings must be made before 2.30pm.


Please note that children must be collected by 6.15pm at the latest for After School Club and 6.00pm for Holiday Club. Parents will be charged £1.00 per minute for late collection.


Payments must be made in advance. Cheques should be made payable to Ashbrook After School Club. We will require at least one week’s payment to secure your child’s place. Failure to do so will result in the place being withdrawn.


We also require a £30.00 non-refundable registration fee per family.

This is a one off payment per family.


Cancellation Policy

We require a minimum of one week’s notice for cancellations, as we will have already organised staffing and snacks in advance. If your child does not attend a pre-booked session this absence will be charged for as we have to cover staffing and other costs.


Unfortunately we are unable to ‘swap’ pre-booked sessions without the required notice.


Behaviour Policy

Please be aware we operate a behaviour policy for children attending the After School/Breakfast Club and Holiday Club. This includes a zero tolerance approach to poor behaviour. We record such incidents and repeated incidents could result in children being asked to leave the Club. Any deliberate damage to toys or equipment will be charged to the child’s parent/guardian as appropriate.
