SUMMARY:Stay & Play Session for Children Starting School in September 2026
DESCRIPTION:Stay and Play sessions are a wonderful opportunity for you to spend time with your child in the school environment\, get to know our staff\, meet other parents\, and ask any questions you may have. These sessions also help children begin to build relationships with staff and make friends before joining us in September. \n\nThere is no expectation for families to attend every Stay and Play session. You are welcome to attend as many or as few as you wish; however\, we do ask that all parents and children attend the session on Saturday 20 June. This session will provide an opportunity for parents to enjoy a coffee in the hall\, ask questions\, and complete paperwork\, while the children spend time in the classroom with their new teachers.

SUMMARY:Year 2 Safari Day
DESCRIPTION:In Year 2\, we have been learning all about Kenya and comparing it to the UK as part of our Geography unit this half term. \nTo celebrate and showcase our learning\, Year 2 will be having a Safari Day on Tuesday 7 July. \nChildren are invited to come dressed in safari-style clothing\, such as neutral-coloured shorts or trousers\, t-shirts\, hats\, sunglasses\, jackets (depending on the weather)\, walking boots and small travel bags. Please do not feel that you need to buy anything new—shorts and a t-shirt will be absolutely fine. \nAs part of the day\, we would also like children to make their own binoculars at home to bring into school\, please. They can be as creative as they like! We will be using these to go on our very own safari around the school. \nWe are really looking forward to another fun Inspire Day with all of our Year 2 children.

SUMMARY:Year 2 Trip to Campbell Park

Please complete payment and permission via MCAS in ‘Trips’. Unfortunately\, if we do not get enough contributions\, we will have to cancel the trip. Should you have any financial concerns or require support\, please contact us in confidence. \nWe will be leaving school promptly at 9.50am and we will be back in school in time for lunch.  The children will need to bring a waterproof coat\, appropriate shoes and hat if the weather is warm. \nIf you would like to support us on the trip\, please speak to your child’s class teacher.  If you have any questions or concerns\, please do not hesitate to contact us. \nWe look forward to a wonderful day at the park!
