DESCRIPTION:Year 2 children will be attending the National Book Show on 26 September. The coach will depart from school at 10:30am and we will return by 12:30pm\, in time for lunch. \nThis year\, the event will be led by the well-known author Al Rodin\, who will share his experience of being an author and inspire our young readers. As a special treat\, all children will receive a copy of one of his books to take home. \nTo make this trip possible\, we kindly ask for a contribution of £13 per child. SUMMARY:Sports Day
DESCRIPTION:The children will be taking part in a range of competitive sports on the day. The event will take place on our playground and the field\, starting promptly at 1:20pm and finishing approximately 2:45pm.  \nWe invite parents and families to join us to support and cheer the children on. There will be designated areas which will be cordoned off for spectators to watch and cheer our sporting stars. We request that you remain in the designated zone as we move from the playground and then onto the fields to finish off our events with team races.  The children will be taking part in a carousel of 8 different sporting activities as they compete in their house teams. All the children will need to come into school wearing their house color t-shirt\, PE kit and trainers. Children will also need to bring a water bottle and a sunhat.  The following houses will be highlighted by their colour and the children should be familiar with the house team they belong to.  \nWillow     Chestnuts     Birch     Elm  \nIn the event of bad weather\, the sports day will be postponed\, and a text message will be sent out to inform you regarding an alternative date which would be Thursday 4th July.  \nWe will have water and refreshments for parents to purchase at the end of the event. We look forward to welcoming you all to this exciting event.

DESCRIPTION:Children in Year 2 will be having their induction day at TMA School on Monday 1 July. They will walk to TMA School in the morning and stay for lunch\, then walk back to Ashbrook School in time for you to collect them at 3.10 pm as usual. \nThere are 2 options for lunch: \n\nEither send in a packed lunch from home\n\nOR \n\nIf you have ordered any of the menu selections for 1 July on Parentpay\, your child will automatically be provided with a cheese roll packed lunch to take with them.
