SUMMARY:Sports Day
DESCRIPTION:The children will be taking part in a range of competitive sports on the day. The event will take place on our playground and the field\, starting promptly at 1:20pm and finishing approximately 2:45pm.  \nWe invite parents and families to join us to support and cheer the children on. There will be designated areas which will be cordoned off for spectators to watch and cheer our sporting stars. We request that you remain in the designated zone as we move from the playground and then onto the fields to finish off our events with team races.  The children will be taking part in a carousel of 8 different sporting activities as they compete in their house teams. All the children will need to come into school wearing their house color t-shirt\, PE kit and trainers. Children will also need to bring a water bottle and a sunhat.  The following houses will be highlighted by their colour and the children should be familiar with the house team they belong to.  \nWillow     Chestnuts     Birch     Elm  \nIn the event of bad weather\, the sports day will be postponed\, and a text message will be sent out to inform you regarding an alternative date which would be Thursday 4th July.  \nWe will have water and refreshments for parents to purchase at the end of the event. We look forward to welcoming you all to this exciting event.

DESCRIPTION:We are excited to inform you that a visit to Woburn Safari Park has been scheduled for the Foundation children on Monday 24th June 2024. \nThis visit has been planned to enhance our learning of habitats and life cycles in our Understanding of the World lessons\, during the summer term. Children will get the chance to observe a wide variety of wild animals\, including lions\, giraffes\, zebras\, and many more. The visit promises to be an exciting and educational experience and we cannot wait to see the joy on the children’s faces as they explore the wonders of the animal kingdom. \nThe departure from school will be at 9.15am\, and we aim to return by 2.30pm\, travelling both ways by coach. \nTo cover the cost of the trip\, we are asking for a voluntary contribution of £22 per child\, in line with the Governors charging policy\, which includes coach travel and entry to the park for the day. \nPlease give your permission and make your payment via your ParentMail account by Monday 17th June 2024 at the latest.  Please go to ‘Payments’ and then select ‘Shop’ at the bottom of the screen. DESCRIPTION:Children in Year 2 have been learning all about The Titanic and will be having a special Year 2 Titanic Day on Monday 20 May. \nWe would like to invite children to dress up as passengers\, ready to board the ship and take part in a fun filled day. \nAfternoon tea will be served on board with a selection of sandwiches and tea or squash. \nPlease click on the link in the flyer\, sent via ParentMail\, to complete your request for the ticket class\, sandwich selection and drink\, by 1.00pm on Thursday 16 May\, so that we can send tickets home by the end of the week. \n

DESCRIPTION:Ashbrook will celebrate International Day with stalls to visit representing the diversity at our school. Parent and community volunteers will be part of this event.  Please see letter sent via ParentMail for more information. \nThere will be no hot school dinners on this day. If you have ordered any of the menu selections on ParentPay for Friday 17 May\, this will be replaced with a cheese roll packed lunch. \nIf you would prefer to send your child with a packed lunch from home\, please cancel your selection by midnight on Tuesday 30 April \nChildren to arrive in school at 8.40am\, as usual. \nParents with stalls to set up in the hall from 9.15am. A table will be provided. \nChildren will visit the hall in their class groups at the following times. \n09:45 – 10:30\n10:30 – 11:15\n11:15 – 12:00 \n12:00 – 12:45 lunchtime \n12:45 – 13:30\n13:30 – 14:15\n14:15 – 15:00 \n15:00 parents can mingle and explore \n15:45 pack away \nA Teams meeting will be held for parents to ask questions about the event and to explain logistics. \nThank you to all volunteers from the community\, who will make the event a special one for all of us.
