DESCRIPTION:We hope you are able to join us for our Ashbrook parents and carers coffee morning.  Once the children are all settled in school we will be having a phonics demonstration lesson. \n\n\nThe purpose of this session is to provide parents with valuable insights into the Read Write Inc. phonics programme that our children receive at school. Phonics is a crucial aspect of early literacy development\, and we believe that a strong foundation in phonics is key to enhancing your child’s reading and writing skills. \n\n\nDuring the demonstration\, which will take place in the school hall\, our experienced staff will conduct three interactive phonics sessions\, showcasing the techniques and strategies we use to help students grasp the fundamentals of phonics. By attending\, you will gain a deeper understanding of how phonics is integrated into our curriculum and discover ways to support your child’s learning journey at home. \nDemonstrations will include: \n\nLevel A/B (Focus on supporting early readers)\nDitty and Red level (Foundation children expected level for end of spring 1)\nPink/Orange level (Year 1 expected level for the end of spring 1)\n\nThis range of sessions will look at Fred frog\, blending\, green/red words\, pinching sounds and how lessons are broken down for the children. \n\nWe recognise the important role parents play in their children’s education\, and this session aims to strengthen the partnership between home and school. Your active participation will not only enhance your understanding of phonics but also empower you to actively engage in your child’s literacy development. \nWe look forward to your presence at the Phonics Demonstration Session.
