DESCRIPTION:As part of our upcoming English unit based on the text ‘Too Much Stuff’\, by Emily Gravett\, Year 2 children will be taking part in a local walk to explore the wildlife and environment in our community.\n\nDuring this walk\, the children will be observing natural habitats and identifying areas where they can hang bird feeders which they will be making in class. This activity will help them understand the importance of caring for the environment and how small actions can support local wildlife. \nStaff are aware of all medical and dietary needs and appropriate risk assessments will be carried out prior to the walk. \nPlease ensure your child is wearing school uniform and they are dressed appropriately for the weather and wearing comfortable footwear. \nIf you have any questions or concerns\, please do not hesitate to speak to a member of the Year 2 team.

DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to tell you that Year 1 will be going on an exciting trip to the Milton Keynes Museum on Wednesday 5th November! This visit will focus on Victorian toys and homes\, linking directly to our current history unit\, where the children are learning about life in the Victorian era. \nDuring the visit\, the children will have the opportunity to explore the museum’s wonderful collection of Victorian toys and household items. They will take part in interactive workshops that will help them understand how children lived\, played\, and learned in Victorian times. This hands-on experience will greatly enrich their understanding of this period in history. \nWe kindly ask for a contribution of £14 per child to cover the costs of the trip. Please complete the payment and permission on MCAS. If we do not get enough contributions\, the trip will be unable to go ahead. DESCRIPTION:As part of our English lessons\, Year 1 children will be having a Super Hero Day on Friday 19 September. We will be discussing all the super powers that we have ourselves and also the super powers of super heroes. \nThere is absolutely no expectation for parents to buy costumes. The day will be packed with fun activities\, including making superhero masks and capes for the children to wear. If your child would like to come dressed as a superhero\, that’s absolutely fine too! Children should still wear sensible school shoes and bring a waterproof coat as they will be going outside throughout the day.
