DESCRIPTION:Tuesday 22 July is party day! \nThis is a non-uniform day and children are invited to wear party clothes if they wish (with sensible shoes\, as they will still be going outside throughout the day). \nChildren are invited to bring one small named wrapped party snack (e.g. small packet of crisps\, mini pack of biscuits). \nSchool will be finishing at 3.10pm as usual.  If your child is staying for the disco\, timings will be as follows: \n3.00pm-4.00pm – Leopards and Elephants classes\n4.00pm–5.00pm – Zebras\, Giraffes\, Tigers and Lions classes \nThere will be a disco and lots of fun party games. Children will also be provided with a drink and a snack. SUMMARY:Year 2 Trip to Lodge Lake
DESCRIPTION:Year 2 children will be exploring some of the wildlife that lives in our city\, as well as learning about a few simple ideas that can be implemented to make the local area a happy and safe place for creatures to live in. \nWe are very lucky to have so many wonderful green spaces around us and the children will be using this visit to understand how they can play a greater role in keeping it clean and how we need to respect our planet. \nThe two classes will be going at different times during the day to get the most out of their experience. \nTigers class will aim to leave by 9:10am. The walk should take no more than 20 minutes\, and we aim to be back before lunch by 11:15am. \nLions class will aim to leave by 1:10pm and get back by 2:45pm \nTo enable the trip to go ahead\, we would like to request a voluntary contribution of £4 and permission to be given via MCAS please in ‘Events’. \nChildren will need to wear school uniform\, a sun hat or waterproof coat\, depending on the weather and comfortable shoes/trainers. \nIf you are able to support us with this trip\, please speak to the Year 2 team.  If you have any questions\, please contact Mrs Begum mbegum@ashbrookschool.net

DESCRIPTION:Theme of the day: Ashbrook School opened 40 years ago\, back in 1985. What were you doing in 1985? Perhaps you were not even born yet? \nParents\, children and staff are invited to dress for the occasion in bright colours and celebrate the style of 1985. [What a great opportunity to check out the fashion of 1985]. Timings will be as follows: \n\n12.00pm– gates will open. You are invited to bring a picnic to enjoy with your child on the field.\n12.30pm– the children will perform a celebration song before the picnic begins\n12:45 pm- children will join their parents for a picnic. If you have ordered any of the lunch options on Parentpay your child will receive a cheese sandwich packed lunch\nAny children who do not have parents attending will have a picnic together with a member of staff\nAfter lunch the Summer Fayre will open\n3.30pm– Summer Fayre closes\n\nThe summer fayre will have a range of fun activities. Some of these will be free and some will be fundraising activities and stalls\, which can be paid for using pre-paid tokens. \nSets of tokens to the value of £5 and £10 are available to purchase through MCAS in ‘Products’. These must be purchased by Thursday 10 July. \nA number of external stall holders will also be at our event (e.g. ice cream van). The external venders will except cash and card payments. DESCRIPTION:We would like to invite parents and families to come and join us to support and cheer our sporting stars.  The event will be starting promptly at 1:20pm and finish at approximately 2:45pm. \nThere will be designated areas which will be coned off for spectators to watch and we request that you remain in the designated zone as we move from the playground and then onto the field to finish off our events with team races.  Children will be taking part in a carousel of 8 different sporting activities\, as they compete in their house teams. \nPlease send your child to school wearing their house colour t-shirt\, PE kit and trainers.  They will also need sun cream applied before school\, a named sun hat and a water bottle. \nIn the event of bad weather\, the sports day will be postponed and a text message will be sent to confirm an alternative date\, which will hopefully be on Friday 11 July. \nWe look forward to welcoming you all to this exciting event.

DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to have been invited to join the Milton Keynes Primary Music Singing Festival 2025 at the Ridgeway Centre on Wednesday 18 June. This year the festival will be running in conjunction with Ex-Cathedra\, ‘a world class vocal ensemble which leads the choral sector in the fields of performance\, learning and wellbeing’. DESCRIPTION:We would like to invite one parent or carer to join us for some fun Maths activities at our ‘Maths in Action Afternoon’ on Friday 16 May at 2.30pm. \nIf you have children in different year groups\, you will be able to move between classes to share your time with them. \nDue to limited space\, we will only be able to accommodate one adult per child. Please do not bring any children or babies with you\, we will not be able to admit them\, due to health and safety reasons.
