Being part of the IFtL Family
IFtL stands for Inspiring Futures through Learning. It is the name of our academy trust and one which we are very proud to be part of. Ashbrook School is a small, community-focused school and we have very close partnerships within our Trust. Holmwood School and Nursery and Two Mile Ash School are particularly important to us as we share the same wonderful community.
On Friday 20th September, we focused on what the IFtL family means to us all. Mrs Watkins had shown the children the logos of the other schools in our Trust in assembly on Wednesday and in Friday’s assembly Mr Ainscow talked about what our part in this growing family is. There was a lot of excitement as the children named our schools and recognised some logos. It shows that there is a growing understanding of the importance in sharing some of the same goals. One of our Trust values is ‘Together’ and we certainly had a sense of that. Ashbrook School’s new ‘Youth Parliament’ members will be meeting with the representatives from all schools in the coming weeks.
There are many projects where staff and children come together across all of our IFtL family of schools. Our ‘Futures’ project led to our children have access to 1:1 devices, with considerable investment in our schools. Our school leaders work together with a shared commitment to high standards and constant development of a first-class curriculum. Ashbrook and Holmwood children will be coming together for events over the year and have increased collaboration with Two Mile Ash School.
How many of the IFtL schools do you know? Did you know that we have schools in Milton Keynes, Olney, Lavendon, Bletchley and Corby?
