Prevent

Welcome to our school community! As part of our commitment to the safety and well-being of our children, we want to share information about the UK's Prevent strategy. Prevent is a government initiative aimed at preventing individuals from being drawn into terrorism or radicalisation.

Our school actively supports this strategy by implementing safeguarding measures to create a secure environment for our children. In addition to this we have a Prevent risk assessment which is regularly reviewed and updated.

We encourage parents to be aware of signs of radicalisation, fostering open communication with their children, and actively engaging in the community. If you observe any concerning behaviour, please use the available reporting mechanisms to share your concerns with us, local authorities, or relevant channels. Online safety is also a priority, and we recommend monitoring and guiding your child's online activities.

For additional resources and support, we provide links to government websites, helplines, and educational. We approach this topic with cultural sensitivity, promoting understanding and avoiding stigmatisation. Stay informed, involved, and connected to ensure the safety and well-being of our school community.
