Educational Visits

At Ashbrook School we provide a full range of educational visits and place high importance on out of the classroom learning.  Our visits programme consists of both external visits and also guests and visitors into school.

Parents are given full notification of all trips well in advance but in the event of a parent not wishing their child to take part in a curriculum term time trip, arrangements will be made to accommodate their child in school.

Parents are asked to note that governors have made a bursary available to the Headteacher to assist parents who may wish their child to take part in certain visits, but who may be experiencing difficulties in making a financial contribution. Please inform the Headteacher if you require any assistance.

All visits conform to very precise safety procedures as detailed in the school’s Educational Visits Policy, which is available upon request, for inspection by parents.  Visits are reviewed and updated at the end of every academic year.

We welcome and promote author visits to our school. Last academic year we welcomed Kirstie Watson.

Here are some extra curricular visits that take place:

  • Author roadshow at The Stables in Wavendon
  • Milton Keynes Museum
  • Local area walks
  • Teaching Talons visit to school [with animals]
  • Milton Keynes Theatre
  • Theater Company in school for pantomine
