Year 1 Trip to Salcey Forest
May 7 @ 09:30 - 14:30
We are excited to announce that Year 1 will be going on a trip to Salcey Forest as part of our science learning about different types of trees and plants. The trip promises to be a wonderful opportunity for the children to explore nature first-hand and deepen their understanding of the natural world. We will be leaving at 9.15am and returning before the end of the school day.
We kindly ask for a contribution of £7 per child to cover the cost of travel. Please complete the payment and permissions on MCAS in ‘Trips’. Unfortunately, if we do not get enough contributions, we will have to cancel the trip. Should you have any financial concerns or require support, please contact us in confidence.
Chartwells will be offering a cheese sandwich packed lunch for your child on this day.
If you order any of the school dinner menu options on ParentPay for Wednesday 7 May, your child will automatically be provided with a cheese sandwich packed lunch to take with them.
If you would prefer your child to bring a packed lunch from home on this day, please cancel the meal you have ordered for Wednesday 7 May.
If your child is bringing a packed lunch from home they will need a disposable water bottle and their lunch should be in a named plastic bag, which will all be disposed of at the site.
To ensure the children are comfortable throughout the day, please make sure they come to school in appropriate clothing for outdoor activities, including a waterproof coat, hat, and layers for warmth (weather dependent). Children should also bring a pair of wellies to change into for the forest.
We are looking forward to a fantastic day of exploration and learning in the great outdoors! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
