Year 1 Trip to Salcey Forest

We are excited to announce that Year 1 will be going on a trip to Salcey Forest as part of our science learning about different types of trees and plants. The trip will take place on Wednesday 17 June and it promises to be a wonderful opportunity for the children to explore nature first-hand and deepen their understanding of the natural world.  We will be leaving at 9.15am and returning before the end of the school day.

We kindly ask for a contribution of £8.00 to cover the cost of travel. Please ensure that payment is made via MCAS in ‘Trips’ by Friday 5 June.  By making your payment, you are giving permission for your child to attend.

Unfortunately, if we do not get enough contributions, we will have to cancel the trip. Should you have any financial concerns or require support, please contact us in confidence.

Please complete the form sent via email to let us know if you would like the school to provide a packed lunch for your child on Wednesday 17 June or you will be providing a packed lunch from home.

If you are providing a packed lunch from home, please send it in a disposable carrier bag with your child’s name on it.   All children will need to bring a full water bottle.

To ensure the children are comfortable throughout the day, please make sure they come to school in appropriate clothing for outdoor activities, including a waterproof coat, hat, and with suncream applied before school. Children should also bring a pair of wellies to change into for the forest.
