Year 2 Local Walk

As part of our upcoming English unit based on the text ‘Too Much Stuff’, by Emily Gravett, Year 2 children will be taking part in a local walk to explore the wildlife and environment in our community.
During this walk, the children will be observing natural habitats and identifying areas where they can hang bird feeders which they will be making in class. This activity will help them understand the importance of caring for the environment and how small actions can support local wildlife.
Staff are aware of all medical and dietary needs and appropriate risk assessments will be carried out prior to the walk.
Please ensure your child is wearing school uniform and they are dressed appropriately for the weather and wearing comfortable footwear.
