Extra-Curricular Clubs
Ashbrook offers a comprehensive extra-curricular programme for all pupils who wish to participate. Extra-curricular activities are after school and start at 3.10pm.
Clubs vary from term to term and timetables are given to parents at the beginning of each half term, giving full details of all clubs available. Information is also provided on how to sign up for the club of your child’s choice via our online booking system.
Some clubs are run by external specialists and others are run by Ashbrook staff members.
Summer Term 2 2026
Monday
Multi Language Club – all year groups
Multi Language Club will be run by Mrs Begum for 6 weeks, starting on Monday 1 June at a cost of £24. This club finishes at 4.00pm.
Drawing Club – Foundation & Year 1 only
Drawing Club will be run by Miss Hodgkins for 6 weeks, starting on Monday 1 June at a cost of £24. This club finishes at 4.00pm.
Cooking Club – Year 1 & Year 2 only
Cooking Club will be run by Mrs Aboobakker for 6 weeks, starting on Monday 1 June at a cost of £24. This club finishes at 4.00pm.
If your child has previously attended Cookery Club, we kindly ask that you do not book again, as places are limited to 10 children.
Tuesday
Gardening Club – all year groups
Gardening Club will be run by Mrs Newstead and Mrs Prockter for 6 weeks, starting on Tuesday 2 June at a cost of £24. This club finishes at 4.15pm.
As well as visiting the Two Mile Ash allotment, children will be making scarecrows and posters and hopefully selling the food they have grown.
Lego Club – all year groups
Lego Club will be run by Miss Woolridge for 6 weeks, starting on Tuesday 2 June at a cost of £24. This club finishes at 4.00pm.
Film Club – all year groups
Film Club will be run by Milton Keynes Film Club for 6 weeks, starting on Tuesday 2 June. To book Film Club please click here
Sessions offer an opportunity for children to unleash their creativity by making mini films using a Cannon EOS R50, green screens, and clapperboards. A blend of fun and education, allowing children to make new friends, boost confidence, enhance literacy skills, and collaborate as a team to create something extraordinary. Every child will receive a downloadable copy of the films they participate in. This club finishes at 4.10pm
Wednesday
Dance Club – all year groups
Dance Club will be run by professional dance teacher, Wendy, for 6 weeks starting on Wednesday 3 June at a cost of £27.  This club finishes at 4.10pm
Seasonal Crafts and Jewellery Club – all year groups
Seasonal Craft Club will be run by Miss Cameron for 6 weeks, starting on Wednesday 3 June at a cost of £24. This club finishes at 4.00pm.
Fabric Painting Club – all year groups
Fabric Painting Club will be run by Mrs Aboobakker for 6 weeks, starting on Wednesday 3 June at a cost of £24. This club finishes at 4.00pm.
Thursday
Art & Design Club – all year groups
Art and Design Club will be run by Mrs Antac for 6 weeks, starting on Thursday 4 June at a cost of £24. This club finishes at 4.00pm.
Sewing Club – all year groups
Sewing Club will be run by Mrs Aboobakker for 6 weeks, starting on Thursday 4 June at a cost of £24. This club finishes at 4.00pm.
Friday
Football Club – all year groups
Football Club will be run by Brazilian Soccer Schools for 6 weeks, starting on Friday 5 June, at a cost of £30. This club finishes at 4.10pm
FA qualified coaches from Brazilian Soccer Schools, experienced with working with children of all ages will run structured skill-based sessions, working from a syllabus of over 200 skills, to create very technical able players. Every child has a ball to themselves and Samba music is used in some sessions to increase atmosphere, work rate, rhythm and to aid concentration. This club finishes at 4.10pm
