Strong starts

It’s been wonderful to welcome our children back into Ashbrook school this week, full of energy and curiosity as they settle into their new classes. From exploring fresh topics to embracing new routines, the start of term has been a joyful whirlwind of learning and growth.

Our new teachers (Mrs Newstead, Ms Zubairi and Mrs Antac) have been especially impressed by the children’s fantastic behaviours for learning—showing focus, kindness, and a real eagerness to dive into their work. It’s shaping up to be a brilliant year ahead, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Mr Ainscow welcomed Key Stage 1 to school in the celebration assembly and awarded the first ‘Star of the Week’ certificates out. This year, the children who are awarded this will be invited to see Mr Ainscow for a drink and treat during the day to celebrate their success.
