A fresh start

It is almost time for a new academic year to begin. We are really excited to welcome all the members of our Ashbrook family back into school. We hope that everyone has enjoyed a summer of sunshine and rest – as much as possible.

Over the summer break the staff have been busy with preparations for the new school year. At Ashbrook there have also been some site improvements, including the new tarmac surfacing around the school office entrance and around the hall. The works included the removal of the brickwork which often became slippery in wet and icy weather as well as the removal of the old brick wall. There are a few small tasks to be completed but it certainly looks more spacious.

Inside school carpets have been deep cleaned and freshened, the shared area in key stage 1 has been redecorated entirely along with the year 1 classrooms. The spaces feel bigger, brighter and we cannot wait to welcome our children back into them.
